These good news confirms, if need be, the excellence of the curriculums offered by the UFE. A team of Students from the French University in Egypt, made up of students from our three faculties, won the SIFE Egypt 2008 competition on July 7, 2008.
Students were requested to show their ability to have a business oriented approach to social problems which affect the country, by offering economic opportunities to targeted communities. Eleven projects were indeed implemented in academic year 2007-2008.
Among these projects were : a training programme for micro-entrepreneurs, a feasibility study for the production of biogaz using animal waste as well as a business simulation games in secondary schools.
The presentation of these projects at the national competition took place at the hotel Intercontinental, City Stars, in English, in front of a Jury made up of high level business people. The UFE team was ranked first, ahead of MIU (2nd), AUC (3rd). It also obtained the first prize for the special topic "social responsability" competition.
From October 1 to 3, SIFE students from the French University in Egypt defended the colours of Egypt at the international final which took place in Singapour, between the national champions of 46 countries. We are very proud of our students and of our professors. Special thanks go to the students coaches and consultants, Dr Nicolas Antheaume, Myriam Raymond and Dr Amr Othman.
