Specialized Translation

Objective

- To provide the market with competent trilingual translators who are capable of translating from/into Arabic, French, and English in specialized fields (political, legal, economic, financial, technical, etc.).

System of Education

- Interactive trilingual education provided through authentic contemporary documents.

- Trilingual-based education applicable to the following fields: terminology (French, English and Arabic), documented research, economics, commercial and international law, computer science, history of contemporary communities.

- Modern teaching methods: self-learning, team work, critical thinking and translation methodology (based on the Superior School of Translation and Simultaneous Interpretation in Paris, ESIT).

- Experience gained through internships at translation departments in different organizations as well as translation offices.

- Dissertation of Terminology and Translation research.

- Student exchange program with our partner university (Paris 3 Sorbonne Nouvelle).

- Use of information and communication technology (ICT) and terminology softwares.

- Courses are taught by:
Highly qualified academic and/ or professional Egyptian professors
French visiting professors from Paris 3 Sorbonne Nouvelle University.

Two certificates

- Bachelor of Arts in Applied Languages - Specialized Translation - from the French University in Egypt. (Egyptian degree)

- French ‘Licence’ in Foreign Applied Languages - Specialized Translation - from the Paris 3 Sorbonne Nouvelle University. (French/European degree)

Fields: specialized translation in national and international organizations, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), international lawyers offices, auditing offices, mass media, tourism, diplomatic organizations, etc…

Job Titles: translators, specialized translators (legal, economic, financial, etc…), terminologist-translator, proofreading translators, free-lance translators, web editors, etc.
