Profile

She works as an English language instructor at the Faculty of Applied Languages. She previously taught English for Special Purposes (ESP), Writing for Academic Purposes, and Research Writing Skills at Misr International Univserity. She also gave Public Speaking (Presentation Skills) course, English Composition, and Drama course for students joining the International Program at The University of The District of Columbia (UDC)- Maadi campus. She participated in curriculum design and took part in compiling, editing, and authoring exercise books at the Modern Academy in Maadi. At the The Binational Fulbright Commission in Egypt, she gave the TOEFL preparation courses including Test of written English (TWE). She gave Conversation courses to communication intelligence officers at the General Intelligence Service headquarters. She also taught EFL courses to journalists at Al-Ahram Regional Press Center.

Teaching Activities

- She teaches English language courses to freshman, sophomore, junior, and senior students at the Faculty of Applied Languages.

- She gives reinforcement classes to students at the Faculty of Applied Languages.

- She teaches English language course to students at the Faculty of Management and Information systems.

- She is responsible for the English language (seminars and activities) at the Language Resource Center.

- She translates admin-related documents.

- Attended the 43rd Annual TESOL Convention and Exhibit Denver, Colorado, USA- March 26-28, 2009

- Attended EFL Skills Conference/ Integrating EFL Skills: Learning, Assessment and Technology at the American University in Cairo- January 2008

- Visited the University of Paris 3 (Sorbonne Nouvelle) in partial fulfillment of an Observation Mission –France.

- Attended a series of cultural seminars at the American Embassy in Cairo. American Studies Information Resource Center.

- Attended International Symposium on Comparative Literature: Trans / Inter-Cultural Communication at Cairo University.

- Attended Egypt TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) Third Annual Convention: Best Practice in TEFL-December 2002

- Attended a PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT FORUM at the American Embassy.

- One – month grant from the Fulbright Commission to conduct a research at the Eccles Center for American Studies in London, England.

- Participated at the I.C.P.D. (International Conference on Population and Development) as a Friend of the Forum at the Press Center.
