D^r Ahmed Tawfik est un Maître de Conférence en informatique à l’Université Française d’Égypte. Il a occupé des postes académiques au Canada et en Égypte où il a enseigné des cours d’informatique et de génie informatique. Ses thèmes de recherche incluent les systèmes intelligents, les systèmes multi-agents, la représentation des connaissances, et la découverte des connaissances. Récemment, il a aussi travaillé sur les questions d’efficience énergétique dans les ordinateurs.
