There are two labs at the Faculty of Applied Languages : Lab (4) which is located at the ground floor and shared with the Faculty of Management and Information Systems, and Lab (9) which is also located at the ground floor and is used by the Faculty only.
Lab (9) was established ever since the inauguration of the Faculty ; however, it was revamped this year as computer devices have been replaced with new updated ones ; old screens have been replaced with LCDs ; moreover, Data Show has been also replaced so that lab users can save both time and effort and make the best use of its updated potentials.
There are 15 computers in lab (9) ; a small number for a specific purpose : students are divided into small groups, specifically in reinforcement classes as instructors recommend a number of sites which provide them with exercises or exams which are linguistically–based. The computers in the lab are connected to the university’s network and the internet which has become a prerequisite for the ongoing development of the educational process.
The labs are well taken care of by the IT department at the university. The IT stuff promptly and effectively solve any problem encountered which could impede the educational process and they also provide the instructor with whatever required before the beginning of the class.
Students can make use of all labs at the Faculty of Applied Languages during their free time to have access to the internet in order to get information or to help them with any assignments required by the instructor.
